5 Times Bella Hadid Nailed Summer Suiting

Twinsets are back in a big way

Although fashion might have become increasingly more casual, suits and relaxed tailoring has made a huge come back – and it seems like it’s here to stay. Up until a few years ago, suits were chiefly seen in stuffy corporate offices, but today we’re seeing them almost everywhere except for offices.

From free flowing, relaxed silhouettes at Céline to baroque-inspired embroidery at Dolce & Gabbana and ultra-relaxed over-sized jackets at Marc Jacobs, suits have become the feminist fashion statement of the season.

Suits shot to the forefront in the moneyed heyday of the 1980s during a time when women stepped in to male-dominated world of business and seemingly wanted to “fit in” with their male counterparts. But over the years, women have gained more power and influence in the professional world and have consequently left the bulky, sharp shouldered suits of the 80s in the back of their closets.

Despite the rise of athleisure and casual wear in the workplace, women are now choosing to rock suiting far away from the office environment.  Think minimalist slouchy fits worn with sneakers, or short skirts and nipped-in blazers worn with apocalyptic army boots.

Bella Hadid has been pioneering the suiting trend for the best part of the last year—from loose and slouchy to neat, nipped and Yves Saint Laurent-inspired—so if you’re looking for some suiting inspo, we rounded up five of Bella’s best looks.
