Spend a Night in a Penthouse Designed by Vivienne Westwood
The British designer turns her hand at hotel design
The marriage between hotel suites and fashion designers is a no-brainer. When choosing where to stay – what better way to decide than to consider a suite that’s been carefully curated and designed by one of your favourite designers?
From Dubai’s Armani Hotel to the Dior Suite at New York’s St. Regis Hotel – there’s quite literally a suite to suit everyone’s taste.
The latest designer to turn their hand at hotel design is the British-born godmother of punk, Vivienne Westwood – and the result is spectacular.
Having joined forces with luxury interior specialists Richmond International, Westwood has applied her signature upmarket, Brit-imbued punk aesthetic to the sprawling 1000 square-metre penthouse suite at LA’s The London hotel (a discrete but iconic luxury hotel nestled off the Sunset Strip, and frequented by everyone from Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner to Eva Mendes).
The penthouse comes with a 450 square-metre rooftop deck overlooking Beverly Hills, that’s literally built for sunbathing, and a 185 square-metre foot Grand Salon (with two en-suite bedrooms) – you might never want to leave.
If you’re a die-hard Westwood fan, you can talk a 15-minute stroll down to Melrose Avenue (or just jump in an Uber) to the city’s flagship Vivienne Westwood store… I mean… when in Rome.
