Pharrell Williams Teases New Chanel Collaboration

Everything we know so far

Last month, the world got a peak of Pharrell’s upcoming collaboration with Chanel in an exclusive interview with GQ France. With a long-standing relationship with the French fashion house, the move came as no surprise, and today we got an even deeper look into what’s to come.

The creative icon took to his Instagram over the weekend to share a 15-second clip teasing the hotly-anticipated collection. “Hard to believe this all started with writing it on my shoes in 2010,” he wrote.

“Of course, Karl named the collection” he shared. Williams had a long-established relationship with Chanel’s late creative director, having first been acquainted in 2016, when he linked up with the fashion house to design what went on to become the world’s most expensive sneaker.

Williams is also due to appear on the fashion house’s new podcast entitled Métier Class by CHANEL, alongside Bruno Pavlovsky, President of CHANEL Fashion, and Amanda Harlech, consultant to the brand.

The fashion house also tapped Williams to star in their Gabrielle Bag Campaign in 2017, with the relationship culminating in November 2018, when it was first announced that Williams’ would go on to design an exclusive collection with the house during Chanel’s Cruise 2019 show in Bangkok.

A release date for the collection has yet to be announced.
