The 7th edition of the Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) Awards took place in M7 in Doha on Saturday night, with stars and fashion insiders from all over gathering to celebrate the best in Arab fashion. With support from HH Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser and co-chairs HE Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani and Tania Fares, the star-studded event was a night to remember.
The awards highlight emerging talent from across the Arab world, giving designers the chance to showcase their work and receive financial and business support to help grow their careers. The judging panel, made up of names like Zuhair Murad, Amina Muaddi, Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry, and Christian Louboutin had the tough job of picking winners from the 21 finalists.
Among those honored were Youssef Drissi (Late for Work) in the Ready-to-Wear Award category; Ziyad AlBuainain (Ziyad Buainain) in the Eveningwear category; Leila Roukni (Talel) in the Accessories category; and Farah Radwan (FYR Jewelry) in the Jewelry category.
The Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award went to Alaa Alaradi. Meanwhile, The Fashion Tech Award went to Fatema and Dalal AlKhaja (Touchless), and Kartik Kumra (Kartik Research) earned the Guest Country Award – India.
As always, winners can expect more than just a trophy. Beyond bragging rights, they’ll receive financial grants of up to $200,000, retail partnerships with Harrods and Ounass, and access to a year-long mentorship program with top-tier industry veterans.
The event was packed with famous faces, including Emma Roberts, Lindsay Lohan, Lori Harvey, Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks, and more. Guests were also treated to live performances from the likes of the iconic Chaka Khan, Saint Levant, and Elyanna.
