She got her start doing ads
The Paranormal star got her start doing commercials and advertisements at the age of 15 while living in Beirut, which was the begining of her career as an actress. Chances are, if you visit your local supermarket, you can still see the various products she modeled for when she was a teenager.
She also sings
It’s giving multi-talented. In addition to acting and modeling, Jamal is also a singer. Although she hasn’t pursued a musical career professionally, she has lent her vocals to Cyril Mokaiesh for his track Au nom du père in 2020 and real estate company Morshedy Memmar for their 2023 Ramadan campaign.
Her first memorable audition was for ‘Djinn’
“I remember my agent in London calling me at 11 P.M. to tell me that I had an audition the next day at 9 A.M. My Arabic was very weak at the time, so it took me all night to decipher the language and memorize the script. The next day, I got to the audition and I was so tired that I couldn’t even think straight; I was just focused on doing it right,” she said in a previous interview, recalling her first audition. Obviously, she did something right as she got the lead role in the 2013 film.
She is a Kanye West muse
In addition to being a Chanel, Dior, and Cartier muse, the 37-year-old has also grabbed the attention of the polarizing rapper Ye. In 2012, she starred in Cruel Summer, a short film written and directed by the rapper that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. She featured alongside Kid Cudi and Ali Suliman, among others.
She has a fear of horses
The actress revealed on her Instagram Stories that she has a fear of horses after falling off of one 20-years-ago. However, she has decided to get over her phobia with horse-riding lessons.
