adidas’ latest shoe venture doesn’t come in a box but in the form of hand-rolled pasta. Just ahead of marathon weekend in Dubai, adidas has unveiled Adizero Pasta, a limited-edition ravioli in the shape of the brand’s Adizero EVO SL running shoe. Created in collaboration with Sagra Italian pastificio, the city’s first homegrown artisanal pasta lab, the project turns one of running’s most sacred pre-race rituals— carb-loading— into a cultural moment.
Available for one day only on Jan. 31 at the Adizero House of Fast, a running hub on Kite Beach, the ravioli is offered free to registered marathon runners who present their bib or runner ID. It’s a small but thoughtful gesture that acknowledges preparation as part of the performance.
“Marathon week is about more than race day itself, it’s about the preparation, the routines, and the moments runners share in the lead-up,” said Bilal Fares, General Manager, adidas EM. “With Adizero Pasta, we wanted to tap into a ritual every runner relates to and reimagine it in a way that feels relevant to the city,” he added.

Partnering with Sagra roots the project in Dubai’s growing artisanal food scene, while an exclusive tie-up with Dubai-based “everything” app Careem extends Adizero Pasta beyond Kite Beach, making it available city-wide for a limited time. It is one way we will happily carb load!
Fashion’s obsession with food is no secret. In recent years, brands have quite literally put edibles on the runway— from Moschino turning McDonald’s cups into tongue-in-cheek shoulder bags to Chanel transforming lait de coco cartons into clutches. Others pushed the crossover even further, stepping out of the atelier and into the kitchen, with designers like Alber Elbaz partnering directly with cult eateries such as Ladurée.
adidas takes fashion’s long-running love affair with food and gives it an actual purpose— not just something to photograph, but something to eat— while reminding us that sometimes the best way to prep for a big run is to sit down and enjoy a big bowl of cheesy pasta.
