Adidas Launch Global Collection With Saudi Label Kaf By Kaf

Reppin’ Riyadh and dat

Adidas has just announced the global launch of a line conceived hand-in-hand with Saudi womenswear brand Kaf By Kaf. Through a joint Spring 2025 range they chose to name Lightbound— a nod to the notion of “collective empowerment under the moonlight” that they seek to celebrate— together, both parties designed a collection that is genderless through and through, inspired by the loose silhouettes of traditional local garments.

First seen at the second edition of Riyadh Fashion Week in October 2024, the collection made its debut on runways before hitting shelves over six months later. Catering to those with a penchant for tech-wear and functional fashion, the offering alternates between traditional silhouettes and sportswear, making comfort and free movement a central feature in each piece. Some of the line’s standout items include the Lightweight Headscarf, a cloth made out of ultra airy fabric and the Classic Track Top & Pants, a colorful ensemble with playful prints and utilitarian pockets.

“Lightbound celebrates the bold spirit of Saudi youth and their creative energy,” said Kawthar Alhoraish, founder of Kaf by Kaf. “This collaboration with Adidas embodies our shared vision to push boundaries and reimagine sportswear,” she added in a released statement.

“The partnership between Adidas and Kaf by Kaf represents more than just a collection—it’s a movement,” said Bilal Fares, SVP and GM of Adidas Emerging Market Central. “Lightbound reflects Adidas’ commitment to fostering creativity and celebrating individuality while uniting tradition with creativity.”

Already available at select retailers, price-tags range from AED/SAR 159 for the graphic tee to AED/SAR 599 for the extra long cover up, while most items retail around the AED/SAR 300 benchmark.

Proving they what it takes to appeal to global markets whilst ensuring high-standards of production, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is setting the pace across many creative industries, including fashion, climbing closer and closer to claim the title of international hub of culture. A milestone to adamantly celebrate, we can only expect initiatives and collaborations like these to become more frequent, if not the new norm, in the near future.
