The 83rd Golden Globe Awards unfolded at the Beverly Hilton on Jan. 11, sending actors, filmmakers, and industry insiders home either clutching trophies or replaying a dozen what-if moments in their heads. But beyond the headlines and acceptance speeches, there was another kind of win happening. On the red carpet, designers from every corner of the globe stepped into the frame as their creations draped some of the night’s most closely watched names. And this year, the Arab world’s imprint was impossible to miss.
In total, four different Arab nations were represented on the Golden Globes red carpet and not in a blink-and-you-might-miss-it kind of way. Across the night, Arab designers from Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia dressed a wide-range of stars, popping up again and again on the red carpet. Some looks leaned towards the more classic and couture-heavy, others felt sharper, more directional, but together, their presence told a clear story: a region that once measured prestige by what it imported is now confidently shaping the conversation from within.
Among the standout looks was Kylie Jenner, who turned heads on the red carpet wearing a sequined gown by Saudi couturier Ashi Studio. The beauty mogul, who was at the award ceremony to support her partner Timothee Chalamet (who later took home the Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical trophy for Marty Supreme) stunned in a sculpted silver, high-shine column gown with crystalline straps fanning across her décolletage.
Meanwhile, Maura Higgins evoked old Hollywood glamour in an off the shoulder black crepe dress with a cinched waist and a floor-sweeping metallic gold cloak that billowed behind her by Egyptian label Marmar Halim.
Elsewhere, Jeannie Mai opted for a black strapless dress hand embroidered with gold chain details and a bold slit plucked from Lebanese designer Tony Ward’s Ready-to-Wear Fall Winter 2025/26 collection. It was the kind of look that balanced edge with elegance in a way only Tony Ward can. It’s not surprising then that his creations were also spotted on actresses Oona Chaplin and Jean Smart.
