Perfect for staring out the window like you’re the main character of a tragic docu-series; which was my case on the train back from Rabat to Casablanca. The chorus alone had me rethinking my whole life and why our striker chose to freestyle instead of securing a win in between two sobs.

DADA — ‘B2’

For the moment when sadness turns into anger, and anger turns into clarity. Did the trick when I needed to be reminded of Morocco’s journey to the final, bringing a tiny bit of pride though the disappointment was still sitting heavy in my chest.

Cheb Hasni — ‘Mazel Souvenir Andi’

Me too, mazal andi souvenir; just thinking of all the hope we had going into the final.

ElGrandeToto — ‘MAGHRIBI’

Had to hear some wise words from Morocco’s unofficial ambassador. If you understand Moroccan dialectal Arabic, you’ll know why this song hits different. If you don’t, the feeling will still find you one way or the other.
