Saudi Arabia has reached a new pinnacle in the fashion industry with the debut of their inaugural Fashion Awards. Held on June 6, 2024, in the heart of Riyadh, the event was a landmark occasion, celebrating the flourishing talent and creativity within the Kingdom’s fashion scene.
Hosted by the Saudi Fashion Commission in collaboration with the Chalhoub Group, the awards ceremony was a dazzling spectacle that garnered both local and international acclaim. Designers, stylists, and fashion houses from across the Kingdom competed for top honors in categories such as Menswear Designer of the Year, Womenswear Brand of the Year, and the highly coveted Designer of the Year award, which went to Tima Abid.
Among other notable winners, streetwear brand 1886 clinched the Menswear Designer of the Year award, while Kaf by Kaf was celebrated for its womenswear collections.
The event’s international highlight was the WWD International Brand of the Year award, bestowed upon the luxury Italian brand Loro Piana, underscoring the global dimension of the ceremony.
The evening also shone a spotlight on emerging talent and sustainable practices. Chaldene, a brand founded by environmentally conscious Saudi women, received the Sustainability Award, reflecting the industry’s growing commitment to eco-friendly innovation.
