The Middle East and North Africa is brimming with talented artists and good music— regardless of the genre and personal tastes. Aside from hip-hop and rap’s dominance over regional charts, the world of DJing is finding itself on the brink of global recognition as the genre almost as a whole is experiencing a meteoric rise. With sets, dedicated parties, and festivals attracting larger crowds than ever, disc spinners from all points of the region are becoming the main event in their own right rather than just the supporting act.
