Gearing up towards its latest iteration, renowned cultural symposium Art Dubai has just unveiled the first details of its 2025 edition. Promising an exciting lineup of exhibitions, talks, and immersive experiences, the event, once again, aims to bolster the UAE’s creative ecosystem through an eclectic series of activations.
Scheduled to take place from April 18-20 at Madinat Jumeirah, this year, Art Dubai will feature a dynamic program of performances, installations, and discussions. Some of the highlights include a new series of performances and site-specific interventions by Mexican artist Héctor Zamora; a digital commission by leading Emirati artist Mohammed Kazem; a series of experiential commissions and installations examining the transformation of nature through technology and human experience, with site-specific works by Ania Soliman; and the launch of the second edition of Art Dubai’s Digital Summit, entitled After the Technological Sublime.
“For nearly two decades, Art Dubai has played two complementary roles, as the region’s leading commercial art platform and as a unique institution that is rooted in and significantly contributes to the local cultural ecosystem. This year’s programme continues this long-term approach, working in partnership with local institutions, business and government to create new opportunities for artists, and enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a centre of innovation and thought leadership,” Art Dubai’s Artistic Director, Pablo del Val, said in a recently-shared press release. ”We are proud to be a convener of the brightest minds and a meeting point for the diverse, global creative communities that we represent, those building the region’s cultural infrastructure, and the increasing number of people who call Dubai home,” he added.
With over 120 exhibitors expected to flock to the UAE to showcase their respective works, this edition of Art Dubai is set to be one of its most expansive yet, drawing industry-experts, artists, and collectors from across the globe for a post-Ramadan motive we cannot wait to experience first-hand.
