Bahrain’s Hotly-Anticipated Sound + Fiction Festival is Almost Here

Bringing the heat to Bahrain

Bahraini platform and record label Museland is bringing its famed SOUND + FICTION festival back for a third iteration only with a more impressive lineup and panel. Running from November 24 to December 4, the sonic gathering will invite key industry figures and artists to perform and share insight to reinvigorate the region’s music business after a tumultuous two years owing to the pandemic.

“It’s not music for the sake of entertainment, it goes beyond that,” commented Ali Al Saeed, founder of Museland “This is about creating a scene, a movement and a grassroots community that is not constrained by what’s popular, or commercial. It is for audiences and artists who genuinely appreciate music.” he continued.

From live music shows to workshops and open-discussions, the organisers have called on a stellar line up of collaborators to support the gig. Amongst them stands the US Embassy in Bahrain, L’Alliance Francaise as well as LocalBH which will be the official media partner. As to the performances, Arabstract, Aveora, JWA and 7MND are scheduled to shake up the emirate’s stage, while Johnny Farrow and Ali Ghawas, amongst others, will be lined up to share some of their precious knowledge across the satellite activities.
