Beit Prod’s First Showroom Is a Vintage Lover’s Dream

Dubai’s secondhand scene has fashion covered. Handbags, shoes, designer clothes, vintage, consignment, you name it. But finding a pre-loved lamp, chair, record player, or strange little object for your home is another story. Beit Prod is changing that. After years spent sourcing and collecting vintage furniture, homeware, and curiosities, the Dubai-based platform has opened its first physical showroom in Al Quoz. And thankfully, it doesn’t look much like a conventional furniture store.

The showroom feels closer to stepping into the very cool apartment of the most discerning person you know. Pieces from different decades sit together without being overly styled into submission, with a particular focus on mid-century and space-age design. There are chrome tubular chairs upholstered in deep red, a glass-block wall, retro lamps, old magazines, watches, glassware, ceramics, and shelves filled with objects whose original purpose isn’t always immediately obvious.

One corner features a vintage Sony Trinitron television topped with a stack of VHS tapes that reads like the remnants of a particularly good video-store haul: American Beauty, Adaptation, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Zoolander, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Elsewhere, an original Nintendo Game Boy sits on a pile of old MAD magazines. A red-and-blue bird-shaped desk lamp arches over a record player on a chrome trolley, while another sculptural orange lamp glows beside it.

Founded by Prod Antzoulis, the Dubai-based platform began as an online destination for vintage furniture, homeware, and collectibles, with an emphasis on objects that already have a life behind them. Antzoulis describes the project as “a place for objects that deserve a second life,” with pieces selected for their stories and craftsmanship.

The Al Quoz showroom is currently open by appointment, with visitors able to browse the collection, see new arrivals, and inspect pieces in person. And on the highly unlikely chance that you leave without finding something you want to take home, Beit Prod’s online shop is still there, with the selection regularly refreshed as new finds come in.
