Bella Hadid has been named as Chopard’s global brand ambassador this week. The 27-year-old catwalker’s new role feels almost destined, especially following her jaw-dropping appearance at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Draped in a sheer, sculpted creation by Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent, Bella was a vision of modern glamor. The look, instantly iconic, was crowned by the exquisite Chopard jewels that adorned her, turning what could have been just another red carpet moment into something transcendent. It was as if the universe had been quietly whispering this partnership into existence all along.
The announcement was unveiled via a striking campaign, captured through the lens of Alasdair McLellan. The images showcase Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie collections—including Happy Hearts, Happy Sport, Happy Diamonds, Ice Cube, and Alpine Eagle.
The news comes just weeks after the part-Palestinian model was dropped by Adidas from its Munich Olympics shoe campaign after criticism from Israel over Hadid’s involvement.
As one of the most, if not the most, influential models in fashion, Hadid’s appointment as Chopard’s global brand ambassador brings much needed representation in a space that often lacks it.
Hadid’s influence extends far beyond the runway fashion. In addition to being an outspoken activist, she has also been shaking up the beauty industry with the launch of her fragrance brand, Orabella, in May—another venture that’s been met with the kind of fervor that only she can generate.
