The UAE’s first neo-cultural festival, BRED, is making its return for its hotly-anticipated third edition sooner than you think. In 2023, the platform established itself as the first neo-cultural music festival in the region by organizing a sonic gathering in the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi. Fast forward to today, organizers are back with a rich slate of events for the third consecutive year. Scheduled to take place from April 23 to 27 in, like the preceding years, Yas Island, the five-day-long annual celebration of music, art, fashion, and sports will get underway under the theme of street culture.
To mark its third edition, BRED Abu Dhabi—conceptualized and produced by BRAG in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Hypebeast—will be releasing its own cypher, featuring Palestinian-Jordanian artist The Synaptik, Saudi rapper and singer Asayel, alongside Egyptian rapper Karim Osama. The exclusive track, entitled Hena, was produced by the UAE’s Sleiman Damien, and will be available to stream on Jan. 28.
Similarly, last year, BRED released a mini-documentary, lensed by Palestinian director Ashraf Dowani, to celebrate their sophomore edition and amplify local creatives. The documentary, titled It’s Our Time, offered an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the meticulous planning and creative energy that goes into curating such an event.
For now, organizers remain tight-lipped about what this year’s edition has in store for guests, but ticket-holders can expect to indulge in a carnival of gigs and satellite events from live performances and exclusive drops by regional fashion brands to art and local food concepts, and more.
Last year’s edition of the festival saw epic performances from the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, Metro Boomin’, AJ Tracey, Aitch, and Offset, so if 2025’s lineup is anything like the year before it, fans are in for a treat.
