Burberry Goes Big for the Launch of its New Olympia Bag

And it’s looking very original to say the least.

British fashion house Burberry has just revealed a giant model of its newly released Olympia bag in front of the iconic Dubai Marina skyline.

Crafted and painted in Italy by renowned artisan makers, the unique curved silhouette relies on a hand-moulded structure as well as a wooden block to create a crescent curve that moulds closely against the body. Chic and athletic, the defined arc is certainly going to have a long-lasting imprint on fashion enthusiasts.

Initially presented globally last May, the campaign features models and sponsors that did not go unnoticed. Starring the notorious FKA twigs, the sulphureous Kendall Jenner and the disruptive Shygirl, the trio that embraces the values of strength, feminine energy and sensuality have endorsed the launch of the new product in a ground-breaking way.

But they’re not the only members of the team worthy of being mentioned. Backed by a team of iconic creative talents including illustrious photographers and film directors such as Inez and Vinoodh, stylist Ib Kamara, make-up artist Kabuki Magic and hairstylists Jimmy Paul and Lacy Redway; all came together to capture the campaign in the most jaw-dropping of ways.

The super-sized version of the bag will remain live at the emblematic location from June 26-July 10. The real thing, however, is available in an assortment of classic colourways from warm tan, black and burgundy to pale blue, warm sand and deep orange. One thing for sure, the Olympia bag is no doubt going to become this summer’s must-have.

Believed to be part of Burberry’s latest evolution of its awe-inspiring takeovers of global landscapes, the larger-than-life Olympia bag will also set sail through London’s iconic River Thames, beginning its journey at the Royal Victoria Dock and moor at various locations across 3 days in July.
