Whether you have a first watch in mind or a collection years in the making, Cairo has a new address to explore. TimeVallée has opened its first Egyptian boutique in Downtown Katameya, bringing Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, and Baume & Mercier together under one roof.
Opened in partnership with Nile Projects, the New Cairo destination brings five distinct watchmaking houses into a space that encourages visitors to take their time. There is room to explore different designs, ask about the mechanics, and consider how a watch feels on the wrist before making a choice.
The 230-square-metre boutique spans a single floor, with each house presented in its own branded setting. Visitors can move between collections, guided by advisors who introduce the craftsmanship and character behind the timepieces. For those still discovering their preferences, having several houses in one place offers a chance to compare and look beyond the name they arrived with.
The setting takes its cues from watchmaking itself. A watchband-inspired marquee frames the boutique, while warm champagne tones, heritage details, and contemporary lines shape the interior. Away from the main displays, a private VIP salon offers a more intimate setting for personalised presentations.
Meanwhile, an in-house watchmaker adds a practical dimension to the experience, providing repairs and technical expertise. Alongside questions of style and fit, clients can discuss the care and maintenance that come with owning a fine watch—an important part of choosing something intended to stay with you for years.
Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Switzerland, TimeVallée operates through local partners across its international network. Its Egyptian debut pairs that multi-brand concept with Nile Projects’ experience in the country’s luxury retail sector.
“Our partnership with Nile Projects is key to connecting with local clientele and celebrating Egypt’s passion for fine watchmaking,” TimeVallée CEO Hélène Maslin said in the opening announcement.
For Nile Projects, the boutique marks an expansion into luxury watches after more than two decades in luxury retail. Vice Chairman and CEO Ahmed El Naggar described the opening as a milestone in bringing international watchmaking houses closer to Egyptian customers.
The launch was celebrated at the New Cairo boutique with guests, partners, and media. Now open, the space offers a new stop for committed collectors and the simply curious alike, with five houses to discover and the expertise to help visitors find their way among them.
