If there’s one thing Celine knows well, it’s the ever-evolving concept of ‘cool’. For the house’s Creative Director Hedi Slimane, it’s always edgy yet effortless no matter the season. That’s what’s their Spring 2022 collection exemplifies. An ode to the French nonchalant yet uber-chic allure, the fashion house is bringing along the sunshine to Dubai’s youth upon further exploration.
This time around, the collection takes a more minimal approach—embodying Hedi Slimane’s vision of the youth that’s emblematic in his choice of ambassadors that included BLACKPINK’S Lisa, and Kaia Gerber who remains a friend of the house.
Featuring the young Dubai-based couple Wathek Allal and Parvané Barret sporting everything from its bomber jackets, handbags, bucket hats and signature baseball caps, and of course the house’s signature eyewear, Allal and Barret were shot by Dubai-based photographer Francesco Scotti for this MILLE collaboration. Allal and Barret were styled by Dubai-based Tunisian stylist and fashion commentator Osama Chabbi and posed at one of the Middle Eastern’s most important centers for art: Jameel Art Center in Dubai.
Allal is seen donning a crochet tank and Celine logo embossed bucket hat, whilst Barret straps a series of leather handbags from the now iconic Triomphe collection across her shoulders and swaps between the collection’s blazers.
