In a move to expand its presence in the region, French luxury label Chanel has just announced the grand opening of a new store in Riyadh. Nestled inside Solitaire Mall, the recently-inaugurated boutique spans across a surface of 538 square meters, composed of two interconnected boutiques.
With a special focus on the Maison’s fashion, watches, and fine jewelry collections, the store will provide an enhanced selection of Chanel’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, and accessories offerings. Prospective shoppers can expect an array of exclusive items from costume jewelry, eyewear, scarves, and small leather goods as well as fragrances, footwear, and haute horlogerie creations amongst other limited-edition pieces that highlight the brand’s century-old know-how.
Behind a sleek white façade, designed by one of the brand’s close collaborators Peter Marino, different rooms and salons adjacent to the main retail space offer a refined and intimate shopping experience. Think plush wool carpeting, tweed sofas, and curated artwork that all play into the House’s codes and aesthetic, intended to inspire both a sense of luxury and tranquility
Speaking of artwork, it’s worth mentioning that a curated selection of specially commissioned pieces by artists like Johan Creten and Voukenas Petrides brings an artistic flair to the space. What’s more, striking works by Y. Z. Kami and Lee Bae further enrich the VIP area, adding a powerful presence to the room and creating a visually appealing mood that complements the overall ambiance of the boutique.
Open since Feb. 15, the boutique has already set a new standard for luxury in the Kingdom, offering a retail experience that’s as refined and iconic as the brand itself, where every detail speaks to Chanel’s history and legacy.
