In an ideal world, no one would have to suffer from hunger, displacement, or any form of injustice. But as we don’t live in an ideal world, some individuals decide to walk the extra mile to provide relief and much needed help to those in need. Those individuals include Clint, founder of London-based brand Corteiz, who just revealed having raised £177,000 ($210,000) for humanitarian efforts in Gaza, Sudan, and Congo.
Earlier this month, the hypebeast favorite label released a limited-edition tee, dubbed “Freedom,” announcing that all proceeds would “go towards War Child UK’s humanitarian efforts in Gaza, Sudan, and the Congo equally.” The garment, initially conceived as a sartorial statement of solidarity and support, reimagined the brand’s iconic logo by incorporating the colors of the flags of the countries it aimed to help. Sold at a price point of £40 ($47), the charitable t-shirt quickly sold out, demonstrating, once again, the solidarity Corteiz can leverage for a just cause.
Raised £177,000 off these tees.

Over the years, the London-based cult brand has managed to build a tightly-knit network of loyal supporters and followers. More than just your average streetwear label, the brand holds significant meaning for its fans, who see themselves represented through its ethos and designs. Known for their spontaneous marketing stunts, which have in the past included pop-up car boot auctions, city-wide scavenger hunts, and money giveaways, Corteiz’s community spirit has cemented its position as one of the hottest brands of our time by always combining fashion with some sense of purpose.
