This week, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FMFF) unveiled Morocco’s latest football kit, designed by Abderrahmane Trabsini, co-founder of Amsterdam-based streetwear label Daily Paper. At an event held in Rabat, FMFF officials and Trabsini introduced two new jerseys to the public, boasting a fresh design inspired by the North African nation’s century-old heritage.
With one kit designed for home games and the other for away matches, each jersey incorporates distinctive patterns and colors that honor the country’s roots. The home kit, which comes in the country’s iconic red, features geometric motifs inspired by traditional Moroccan zellige, with the five-pointed star from the Moroccan flag boldly displayed at the center of the shirt and all over its front side. To finish it off, green accents along the side, back and collar of the shirt were added for an extra touch of national pride.
On the other hand, the away kit, in crisp white, incorporates embroidery and symbols drawn from Amazigh culture, nodding back to the country’s history and traditions. On both designs, “Morocco” is featured on the back collar—written in Arabic on the home kit and in Tifinagh (Amazigh script) on the away kit.
Although it’s not available for purchase just yet, we expect both shirts to hit store shelves and online shops in the coming days, or at most, within a few weeks. Watch this space!
