This October, the Great Pyramids of Giza will once again play host to the annual “Forever Is Now,” an annual art exhibition that transforms the ancient site into a sprawling canvas for contemporary art. Now in its fifth edition, the art fair is set to get underway from Oct. 30 to Nov. 22, showcasing an impressive array of installations and sculptures by renowned artists from around the globe.
Orchestrated by Art D’Égypte under the visionary auspices of CulturVator, the exhibition celebrates its fifth anniversary by carrying an immortal legacy. Think installations and sculptures that wrestle with the idea of transcendence, reimagining human creativity against the monumental backdrop of the Giza Pyramids. Here, the eternal meets the ephemeral through innovative art.
Over the years, the exhibition has showcased many exciting contemporary artists from the MENA region and beyond. Previous editions have included works by the likes of Tunisian calligrapher elSeed, French artist JR, Indian contemporary artist Shilo Shiv, and Canadian light and laser maestro Chris Levine. While organizers have yet to reveal who will be showcasing their works for the fifth edition of the event, this year’s lineup is expected to be just as impressive, and will challenge, provoke, and inspire visitors.
Organizers took to Instagram to announce the dates of he fifth edition of ‘Forever Is Now’ in a released statement, claiming that this year’s event will be the biggest one yet: “Five years of Forever Is Now! We are thrilled to celebrate the fifth edition of Forever Is Now.
