Deenathe1st x Larroudé: The Must-Have Shoes of the Season

Whoever said fashion is exclusively reserved for designers might not have seen this one coming. Former Saudi retail executive and editor Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz, more commonly known as Deenathe1st, has recently joined forces with seasoned fashion director Marina Larroudé to launch an exclusive footwear collection that blends high fashion with everyday wearability.

Last month, the two friends, who met during their time as contributors for Style.com, released their first capsule collection of footwear. Dubbed “The Radical Elegance,” the newly-released line was intended for the fall season and is comprised of two styles of shoe: “a sleek heel with a contemporary wrap-around ankle buckle, and a peep-toe wedge, both realized in soft suede, metallic leather, and textured leathers all produced in Larroudé’s own factory in Brazil”. They also feature a slew of flattering touches that allegedly make your legs look longer and instantly bring out the wearer’s femininity.

“One of the faces of our launch campaign back in 2020, Deena is a longtime friend and someone I deeply admire. It’s been an absolute dream to collaborate with her. Her taste is exquisite and she’s always impeccably dressed, wearing high fashion in ways that feel uniquely unexpected—and our capsule delivers just that,” Larroudé said in a recently shared press release.

“There is a bigger story behind these stunning shoes we present to you: through our friendship, Marina and I show how beautiful things happen when women support women,” Abdulaziz added. “Deenathe1st and Larroudé believe that sisterhood is also created through a love of glamor. We want you to feel radically elegant, empowered, and so chic wearing these shoes throughout the seasons,” she continued.

This is the first brand collaboration announced by Abdulaziz since launching her lifestyle brand, Deenathe1st, in June 2024. Given the reception it has received so far, we wouldn’t be all that surprised to see more of them coming our way in the months to come.
