Can anything get in the way of part-Egyptian actress Yasmine El-Abd? At 20, the Geneva-born thespian is already an established star, counting a slate of dialect-spanning roles throughout her young career. Having made her television debut less than four-years-ago with Finding Ola, it’s safe to say she wasted no time building a résumé that most actors spend years chasing. And things don’t seem like they’re going to slow down any time soon as the fast rising star has just been appointed as Dior’s newest brand ambassador.
Representing the French luxury label across all of its beauty, high jewelry, and fashion divisions, El-Abd follows in the footsteps of other Dior ambassadors including Jimin, Carla Bruni, Charlize Theron, and Monica Belluci, among others. Coincidently, or not, the appointment comes just weeks after her fashion week debut at the Maison’s spring 2026 haute couture show in January, which simultaneously also marked Jonathan Anderson’s first collection as creative director of the Paris-based brand.
“It feels so special to represent such an iconic name and house, one that I’ve been an admirer of for as long as I can remember,” El-Abd told MILLE. “It’s such a pleasure and an honor. I can’t wait to work with the incredible Dior team and for all the new amazing things to come !” she also said.
“A multifaceted artist, her creativity and energy embody a new form of elegance, driven by authenticity, determination and empathetic sensibility,” the Maison said about her appointment through a shared press-release. “Her magnetic presence and inspiring performances make her a contemporary muse, in perfect alignment with the reinvention instilled by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, the olfactory universe envisioned by Francis Kurkdjian, Creative Director of Dior Perfume Creation, the visionary spirit of Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, and Victoire de Castellane’s unique virtuosity,” it also added.
Clearly no stranger to the Dior universe, only time will tell how she’ll shape her place within it; not just as yet another face of the Maison, but as one of its most defining figures for a new generation increasingly eager to see themselves reflected in it.
