Drake is no stranger to venturing out beyond the music business. The Canadian rapper runs October’s Very Own, an umbrella company to a clothing line, record label and radio station. But he’s now doing something completely different: candles.
On the surface, it’s nothing radical. Celebrities have been in the fragrance game for ages, with Paris Hilton ruling the game for decades. But Drake is taking it one step further. One of his candles will smell just like himself.
The Grammy-winning rapper began teasing the launch of his newest company Better World Fragrance House during the summer, and it’s almost here. The company is set to be launched over the holidays, and will include five different scents.
Of them, the Carby Musk candle is the standout that’s said to smell like Drake. According to the site, it’s the personal fragrance that he wears. ““smooth musk fragrance is introspective as in an interpretation of your beautiful self, yet extrovertive as how you would want others to see your bold and brilliant self,” reads the product’s description. The candle includes notes of musk, ambers, cashmere, suede, and velvet.

Sweeter Tings, Williamsburg Sleepover, Muskoka and Good Thoughts are the names of his four other products. Sweeter Tings is an “An addictive and nostalgic Oriental Gourmand fragrance with the subtleties of comfort and goodness. Features notes of Bergamot, Lemon Peel, Dark Voodoo Rose, Warm Cedarwood, and Soft Musks.” Whereas Good Thoughts is “a bouquet of rich florals surrounded by a vibrant bright light of freshness for a captivating positive energy. Features notes of Fresh Aldehydes, Bergamot Oil- Italy, Fir Balsam Oil – Canada, Ylang Ylang – Madagascar, Clove Buds, Pimento Berries – Jamaica, Sandalwood Oil Album – Australia, Patchouli Oil – Indonesia, and Sensual Musks.”
Though a specific date of release hasn’t been announced yet, the candles will be available for purchase at revolve.com. Once you get your hands of them, Drake recommends that you play the album that inspired the scents as you burn them.
