Dubai Design Week Will Return For Its Eight Edition Next Month

Now in its eighth edition, Dubai Design Week (DDW) is set to make a return on Nov. 8 to 13 in Dubai Design District (d3) to celebrate the abundance of creativity and innovation emanating from the UAE, the region, as well as the world. Inviting individuals from all over the creative spectrum to showcase their talent and diffuse their vision to a rich melting pot of culture and arts, DDW’s next meeting is expected to provide guests with a rich mine of inspiration on top of a bottomless amount of opportunities.

Held under the patronage and close supervision of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai’s Culture & Arts Authority, the six-day-long event has been curated under the strategic partnership of the Dubai Design District (d3), a member of TECOM Group PJSC, and supported by Dubai Culture, to highlight and demonstrate the Emirates’ commitment to the developing regional art and design industry, providing experts and novices alike with the appropriate platform to spotlight their latest creative work to an esteemed crowd of visitors and a slew of industry-involved guests.

The annual gathering scheduled to take place at d3 will focus on sustainability across all activities and disciplines held throughout the week. Through eye-catching installations, exhibitions, workshops, spectacular product launches, and talks, the event will provide an all-encompassing experience for participants to learn and inspire themselves from.

“We look forward to bringing the design and creative community together to engage, connect, and be inspired by the ideas, talents, and artisans presented across installations, exhibitions, talks, workshops, the Downtown Design fair, and the market. In addition, we look forward to giving incredible talent from the UAE, region, and wider world a platform for their work to be showcased and celebrated,” commented Khadija Al Bastaki, Vice President of d3, before adding: “We at Dubai Design District are deeply committed to rethinking the regular, empowering talent and being an ever-growing ecosystem for creative thinkers.”

Also worth noting, for the first time ever, the d3 Design Market by FLTRD will also take place during the six-day-long happening providing a local retail experience by welcoming homegrown artisans and their subsequent offerings, ranging from home-wear to ready-to-wear, for attendees to walk through and shop.

With the planet’s well-being in mind all throughout the event, the celebration of décor, lighting, furniture, and architecture is the ultimate destination for those eager to explore the region’s wealth of design heritage. Ecologically conscious and probing the issues of now that will certainly grow into the most important challenges of tomorrow, DDW is the responsible gathering to make sure to not miss in the times to come.
