Last year, the UAE catapulted into the global fashion limelight with its inaugural fashion week. Now, the much-anticipated Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) is back for its Spring/Summer 2025 edition from Sept. 1-5, promising to be even more spectacular. The event, curated by Dubai Design District (d3) in collaboration with the Arab Fashion Council, is slated for a return in just a few months, set to get underway just a few days before New York Fashion Week.
Following the success of the Fall/Winter 2024 edition, the upcoming showcase will once again lead the international fashion parade. By strategically positioning itself ahead of the iconic fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, DFW offers a unique platform for local and international designers to debut their collections, set the season’s trends, and capture the imagination of global buyers, fashion influencers, and stakeholders.
The Spring 2025 edition promises an even more dynamic array of citywide runway shows and presentations. Attendees can look forward to insightful industry discussions, chic dinners, exclusive events, and unparalleled networking opportunities. This Fashion Week is set to amplify Dubai’s burgeoning influence on the global fashion stage, spotlighting sustainable collections that prioritize ethical practices and designs that celebrate cultural heritage and diversity.
This September’s edition will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Arab Fashion Council, adding a layer of celebration to the event. Building on the unique offerings and momentum of previous DFW editions, the SS 2025 event promises headlining moments that are sure to leave an indelible mark on Dubai’s evergrowing fashion scene.
Some highlights from the past Autumn/Winter edition include, Carolina Herrera who graced the fashion season with a special presentation by Creative Director Wes Gordon; international supermodel Naomi Campbell closing the show for Rizman Ruzaini; Moroccan designer Maison Sara Chraibi’s dazzling her Spring 2024 collection straight from Paris Haute Couture Week; and Mrs. Keepa Studio’s collaboration with Sotheby’s Dubai, which took the fashion scene by storm. Esteemed haute couture designer Zeena Zaki teamed up with Tryano, Bil Arabi by Nadine Kanso partnered with Bloomingdale’s, Etro hosted an exclusive event at Dubai Opera, and ‘THAT NIGHT OUT’ emerged as the premier closing event.
As Dubai Fashion Week continues to evolve, it brings a slew of advancements, from enhanced venues and expanded shows to high-profile partner collaborations and an ever-growing roster of elite designers. We’re certain the second edition will not disappoint.
