Italian luxury label Alberta Ferretti has just been confirmed as the guest designer headlining the upcoming edition of Dubai Fashion Week (DFW). Slated to take place at Dubai Design District — the longstanding home of DFW and a local hub for some of the region’s most ambitious creative talents — the showcase will open the season on Feb. 1 and will mark the brand’s first runway show on our side of the world.
“With each edition of Dubai Fashion Week, we reaffirm its position as a global and innovative platform for creativity and cultural exchange, and we are committed to continually expanding our horizons as a key event on the international fashion calendar,” said Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District (d3).
“Welcoming, the Alberta Ferretti brand and its Creative Director Lorenzo Serafini, whose design legacy embodies grace, sophistication and craftsmanship, is an honour for DFW and reaffirms the confidence that both prestigious international maisons and emerging talents place in Dubai as a leading global hub for fashion and creative excellence,” she added.
“I am delighted to bring the Alberta Ferretti world to Dubai. The city’s energy, its cosmopolitan audience, and its commitment to design excellence make it a natural setting for our debuting show in the region. This collection, that will be unveiled at Dubai Fashion Week, reflects the refined craftsmanship and emotional sensibility that define my personal vision of the brand,” Lorenzo Serafini, Creative Director of Alberta Ferretti, commented following the announcement.
DFW’s AW26/27 edition will run between Feb. 1–6, and will, as it has since its launch, invite local, regional, and international designers to showcase their latest collections live, while reinforcing the country’s position as a fast-rising hub for global fashion and creative industry exchange.
