Everything You Need to Know About Rajwa Al Saif and Prince Hussein’s Royal Wedding

Here comes the bride...

Prince Hussein of Jordan and his fiance, Saudi architect Rajwa Al Saif, are set to tie the knot this week.  Ever since news broke of their engagement, devoted royal watchers around the world have been waiting with bated breath for the big day. From the date to the dress, read on for everything you need to know about Jordan’s hotly-anticipated upcoming royal wedding.

When is it?

The happy couple will say “I do” on Thursday, June 1, 2023. They are set to get married nearly one-year after announcing their engagement back in August 2022.

Where is it?

The wedding will take place at Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan. The palace was built in 1957 and has hosted many royal events, including the wedding of Prince Hussein’s parents, King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan, in 1993. The celebrations will later move to the Al Husseiniya Palace, the official residence of Jordan’s royal family, where a reception and dinner will be held.

What dress is she wearing?

While the bride chose an embroidered gown by Saudi designer Honayda Serafi to her henna party on May 22, royal watchers will have to wait and see which designer Al Saif turned to for her big day. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the bride-to-be wear another creation from an Arab couturier, however, a look by an international designer is possible too— Prince Hussein’s sister, Princess Iman, stunned in a white wedding gown with delicate floral embroidery and matching veil designed by Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chirui for her big day on March 12.
