Everything You Need to Know About the 11th Quoz Arts Fest

Kicking off this weekend with all things art!

As the new year unfolds, the anticipation for creative endeavors grows, spanning new music, art exhibitions, and thrilling fashion weeks. Alserkal Avenue, Dubai’s vibrant creative hub, is back with the 11th edition of its annual Al Quoz Arts Fest (QAF), offering a diverse showcase of all things art and culture from Jan. 27-28.

A celebration of homegrown talent, this year’s musical line up will see the likes of Sudanese duo MarSimba for some afro-goodness. South African DJ Stick No Bills is also set to take the stage, alongside hip-hop connoisseur Big Hass, and plenty more sets to look forward to. The highlight of the two-day festival is the emerging musicians featured on Quoz Encore, which is bound to present fresh sounds to discover.

Aside from the music, the festival will also be featuring immersive and engaging artworks by internationally renowned artists such as Yuri Suzuki’s interactive installation in Concrete, The Disappearing Art Show by Gulf Photo Plus, installations at Carbon 12, and more. Additionally, be sure to head to Cinema Akil to celebrate Palestinian cinema courtesy of Reel Palestine, which is back for its 10th edition at the independent cinephile spot.

Between performances and gallery hopping, Alserkal will be offering plenty of opportunities to support local brands with all-day markets by Reel Palestine Souk, Kave Market of Misfits, and QAF Retail Line. Not to mention the endless food options to indulge in. From Mattar’s taste-quenching brisket sandwiches to Nightjar’s artisanal coffee, there’s something for everyone.

Tickets are on sale now priced at AED 126 per person for a two-day pass, and AED 63 for one day. Under 18s and those above 60 years old enter for free. All ticket proceeds from Quoz Arts Fest will go towards helping support local and regional talent. Head to this website for tickets and more information on the two-day event.
