At just 26-year-old, Petra Collins has shaped what’s now been dubbed New-Wave Feminism with her dreamy ultra-feminine photography which has landed her campaigns with everyone from Adidas to Gucci. Collins is inarguably one of our generation’s most influential creatives—and she’s coming to Dubai this week to share her industry knowledge at Sole DXB.
The Canadian photographer is amongst some of the world’s biggest creatives heading to the Gulf city for the event. She joins a roster of leading voices in fashion, music, and art taking part in Sole DXB’s 9th edition. Collins will sit with journalist and radio presenter Minya Oh (also known as Miss Info).
Also on the roster is the man behind cult streetwear brand Chinatown Market, Mike Cherman, who will shed some light on the world of streetwear in a conversation moderated by former Vine star and comedian Wahlid Mohammad.
Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli (also known as Black Star), will also sit down for an hour-long discussion moderated by none other than DJ Bobbito Garcia, other talks include a sit down with Jeff Staple, founder of Staple Design, who will be in conversation with Les Benjamins’s founder and namesake, Bunyamin Aydin, with Jonathan Cheung, the senior vice president of design innovation at Levi’s.
