Fashion Trust Arabia Announces its 2024 Finalists

Good luck to all!

After considerable deliberation, Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) has announced the 24 finalists for the 2024 FTA Prize Award. The finalists hail from all across the Arab world, including Iraq, Morocco, Egypt, and Syria to Palestine, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. They will be showcasing their collections in Marrakech on Oct. 25, where the seven winners will be announced. The categories for the sixth edition of the awards fall under Ready-to-Wear, Evening Wear, Jewelry, Accessories, Franca Sozzani Debut Talent, Fashion Tech, and Guest Country, which is Spain.

A non-profit organization, FTA provides financial support, guidance, and mentorship to emerging designers from across the MENA region, while also providing a platform for them to grow and gain recognition internationally. The winning designers receive a financial grant of $100,000 to $200,000 cash prize, depending on the size of their business; with $50,000 for the Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award. Evening Wear, Ready-to-Wear, Accessories, and Jewelry category winners’ collections will be carried by FTA’s retails partner, Harrods, for one season. In addition to retail opportunities, FTA offers all winners incredible benefits, including a year-long mentorship with The Bicester Collection.

Thats not all– Huntsman Savile Row will offer the Ready-to-Wear category winner an internship in London. As part of the internship the winner will be creating an exclusive capsule collection to be sold on the retailer’s e-commerce platform.

Additionally, luxury ethical fashion retail platform Maison De Mode will offer a tailored mentorship to all seven winners that focuses on the importance of sustainability and ethical fashion practices. The winning designers will also take part in a two-day bespoke FTA mentorship program in London in partnership with The Bicester Collection, Brand x Society, and the British Fashion Council.

This years’ Advisory Board is comprised of some of the industries heavyweights: MILLE’s very own founder and creative director Sofia Guellaty, iconic American stylist Law Roach, Parisian designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin, renowned designer Peter Dundas, amongst many more.
