#StandWithCreatives

With the on-going global pandemic, every industry has stepped up to the plate. The fashion scene is no exception. As for the regional industry, Fashion Trust Arabia is proving itself to be a key player in combatting the effects of coronavirus.

The organisation, which is spearheaded by Tania Fares is showing its support for Arab talent more than ever by launching its #StandWithCreatives campaign. “It is our responsibility now, more than ever, to continue to support and highlight creativity,” reads a statement by the organisation.

“We can liken the MENA region to a volcano of creativity, erupting with designers, artists, musicians, photographers, and storytellers. All of which ready to take the product of the rich history they carry in their DNA and channel it out for the world to receive,” they continue.

There’s no question about the increasingly devastating effects of the pandemic on local creatives, with necessary lockdowns all over the world resulting in the cancellation of major projects.

To ensure the survival of the Arab world’s creatives, FTA is putting the spotlight on them, shining light on everyone in the creative industry from designers to tastemakers.

The organisation is encouraging everyone to post photos of themselves wearing the work of a regional designer on their Instagram profiles or stories with the hashtag #StandWithCreatives and inviting three others to join them.
