Felukah is making waves in Egypt’s rap scene, and now she’s taking her sound global. The Cairo-born, NYC-raised artist, known for blending rap, soul, and Arabic influences, has just announced her first world tour, Qabl El Shams (Before the Sun). But her first world tour is about much more than just performing. The artist is using her platform to make a difference as a portion of the proceeds from her tour will go toward relief efforts in Palestine and Lebanon, a cause close to her heart.
Set to perform in cities of Berlin, Paris, Bern, Amsterdam, Amman, Cairo and Dubai, Felukah’s first solo tour is produced and organized by Mise en Abyme, a production, management and consulting agency focused art, design, and culture based in Paris and Lebanon. Kicking off this fall, the tour stretches across Europe and the SWANA region (South West Asia and North Africa). Expect a deep dive into Felukah’s world, where Arabic influences blend effortlessly with a sleek, contemporary sound that’s equal parts rap, poetry, and soul.
The tour revolves around her upcoming project of the same name, Qabl El Shams, which explores freedom through the lens of nightlife. The lead single reflects on chasing euphoria, only for it to fade by sunrise. Felukah’s lyrics dig deep into themes of liberation, identity, and self-discovery.
Instead of dropping the project all at once, Felukah will release it track by track as she tours, with the final release on Nov. 22. This approach mirrors the layered style of her music, with revelations unfolding over time, much like her performances.
NOORstudios, a creative agency from NYC and Cairo, will be handling the visuals and artistic direction, ensuring each performance is more than just a concert but a full-on experience. Lebanese designer Sama Beydoun is also involved, bringing the artist’s energy to life with stunning visuals.
Felukah is showing the world that you don’t need a major label to make an impact. Her blend of Arabic and English, traditional rhythms, and futuristic beats has already captured a global fanbase, and now she’s ready to take her music—and her message—even further. This tour is her way of connecting with fans and giving back to the people and places that made her who she is.
