Finally, Bella Hadid’s Beauty Brand Is Here

the wait is over

After much speculation, part-Palestinian model Bella Hadid has just launched her own beauty brand, Orebella. After months of heavy teasing online, and after five years in the making, the coveted catwalker finally took to social media to announce her long-awaited foray in the beauty industry through the release of three inaugural fragrances.

Expected to hit shelves from May 2 onwards, Hadid describes Orebella’s debut offering as the  “first intentional skin parfum.” For its first collection, the newly-launched brand is set to release three scents, namely Window2Soul, Salted Muse, and Blooming Fire– a range focusing on floral, woody, and tropical smells, respectively– that double as lightweight moisturizers.

With the intent of leaving her mark on the industry, the model-turned-entrepreneur aims at providing prospective customers with non-alcoholic based alternatives infused with essential oils that are, overall, much healthier and less harmful than their traditional counterparts. Speaking of tradition, the name is an alleged nod back to her last name, Hadid, which means “iron ore” in Arabic, “a naturally occurring material from which valuable minerals are extracted,” and which “aligns with aura— a distinctive atmosphere that envelops and emanates from and around all of us,” she wrote.

The 27-year-old also recently shared that the idea of creating her own cosmetic brand stems from her passion for crafting scents and her own reluctance to use mainstream products laden with synthetic ingredients and components, which irritate her sensitive skin.

“This world is my soul. This world is who I am. This world offers the ability to bloom and grow, with the most perfect imperfections. These scents are a blending of my past, my present, and my future. This is Orebella,” Hadid shared on her brand’s official website.

As for what we can potentially expect from Hadid’s label, according to The Zoe Report, the model has trademarked a wide range of other beauty items from foundations, lip products, perfumes, and beyond, meaning that while fragrances will kick things off, there might be a load more beauty goodies on the way.
