Alicia Keys to Perform in Al Ula

The singer makes her Saudi debut

Alicia Keys

Many would travel miles to watch Alicia Keys perform live. Her soothing voice has serenaded generations since the beginning of her career, and good news, you won’t have to take a trip too far this time to see her in the flesh as the award-winning crooner is set to perform in Saudi Arabia later this month.

Presented by Good Intentions, a global creative agency founded by her husband Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, it will be the first time that the American artist will be singing in the Kingdom. And it won’t be taking place just anywhere. The 15-time Grammy recipient will be set to perform at the majestic Maraya concert hall, a stargazing venue built close to Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage site, Al-Hijra.

Showcasing songs from her latest album ‘KEYS’, the New York-born singer will be supporting her latest project while also revisiting some of her all-time classics.

For those willing to pay the Kingdom a visit for this special occasion, you can also expect Alicia Keys to play co-host to a panel discussion alongside HRH Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud, Saudi’s first female Ambassador to the US. It will aim at placing the onus on the empowerment of women and the Kingdom’s overall progress towards its 2030 vision.

Available to stream on MBC as well as on YouTube, the gig will take place the same weekend as Al Ula Desert Polo this February 11.
