The Egyptian Label Co-Signed by Beyoncé

Queen Bey can’t get enough of Okhtein

Since their launch in 2013, luxury accessory brand Okhtein has broke innumerable barriers. When Beyoncé posted a series of photos on her Instagram of her sporting of their bags – the Egyptian brand catapulted across international waters.

Earlier this week, the 22-time Grammy award winner was spotted wearing the brand once again when she was photographed carrying their embroidered Rodhwak bag while visiting the Neues Museum in Berlin—and to make things better (and more culturally apt) the singer stood right next to the iconic Queen Nefertiti bust for the photo op.

The brand has been gaining popularity over the last few years. Founded by sisters and Cairo-natives Mounaz and Aya Abdel Raoul, the duo have built a reputation for themselves across the region for their beautiful designs, and not least for strictly manufacturing their products by Egyptian artisans and working with Egyptian NGOs to give opportunities to skilled women typically unable to find work.

With a mission to put Egyptian design and tradition at the forefront, the brand has reached new heights after some of the world’s biggest names like Emma Watson, Kris Jenner, and Gigi Hadid have been seen sporting their bags.
