Chloé Teams Up with Sheltersuit for Charitable Fashion Show

Accompanied by LVMH and Gabriela Hurst

Runways are going to welcome a new guest this year as the Dutch non-profit Sheltersuit Foundation is about to venture into the world of fashion for the second time. A couple of months after having been associated with French label Chloé, Sheltersuit is diving  back into the industry for a very anticipated debut collection that is set to be teased on catwalks this week.

The brand and non-profit, which was born out of the heartwarming will to provide immediate shelter to the homeless, had teamed already teamed up on Chloé’s previous A/W 21 season with a guest appearance that was translated through a multi-use backpack assembled from their luxury dead-stock. A couple of months later, Sheltersuit is picking things up from where they left them by introducing their own eponymous line while inaugurating it at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week.

The collection encompasses everything from menswear, womenswear, and gender-fluid garments that always nod back to the original Sheltersuit spirit and ethos. Still committed to making protective waterproof products while reducing waste at the same time, the presented line is thought to keep warm while maintaining the brand’s key pillars of innovation, durability, reusability, freedom, and hope.

For its debut on catwalks, Sheltersuit received considerable support from its long-time ally Chloé, with a donation of further materials, studio space in the heart of the French capital all while sharing their extensive know-how with the young up and coming label. Additional fabrics have also been donated by Gabriela Hearst and sourced from LVMH deadstock.

Providing the world of fashion with a much-needed philanthropic purpose, Sheltersuit’s collection will soon be available on its website.
