Dana Hourani Drops a Catchy New Y2K Cover

Listen to the style icon’s take on ‘Teenage Dirtbag’

Known for her bold, structured looks, and her beautifully curated instagram feed, Dana Hourani has made a name for herself over the years as one of the region’s it-girls. But if you’ve been following her for some time, you probably already know that the style muse also dabbles in music (just take a scroll through her hashtag #SoundTales, and you’ll see).

And now, it seems that she’s officially set her sights on making her mark on the music scene. The Dubai-based style icon has teamed up with Lebanese indie band Adonis to drop an Arabesque remake of Wheatus hit ‘Teenage Dirtbag’—taking us back all the way to the early 2000s.

The cover, titled ‘Kawkab Tany’ switches between Arabic and English, with Dana playfully singing us through the song’s most memorable verses—and Adonis lead singer Anthony Khoury switching up the lyrics with his very own Arabic spin.

And despite taking on a smoother melody, their take on the 2000s hit (and Loser soundtrack) is still as catchy as ever, just take a look for yourself:
