Dua Lipa to Perform at Louvre Abu Dhabi

Kicking off the museum’s anniversary celebrations with a bang

Following a string of super-successful events, it might feel like the Louvre Abu Dhabi has been around for quite a while. From unveiling the world’s most expensive painting, to hosting one of Saudi’s most renowned exhibitions, it’s fair to say that it’s been a pretty busy year for the institution. Which is why the museum’s upcoming first anniversary might catch you by surprise.

To mark the occasion, the museum is kicking off a four-day celebration. They’ve announced a long list of festivities set to take place starting November 8, with concerts and exhibitions as well as interactive workshops. The occasion is looking to be one of the city’s largest events yet, and with none other than British pop-star Dua Lipa set to take the stage at the museum’s Concert Village, it’s turning the institution into a mini Coachella.

The 22-year-old ‘New Rules’ singer, already performed last year at du Arena on Yas Island, and if that was any indication, this performance is one not to miss—so we hope you’ve already got your tickets, since they impressively sold out in just a matter of hours.

If you weren’t able to snag a ticket, the museum’s got plenty of other activities on-site for you to try out. During the four-day celebration, be sure to catch one of their 30-minute discovery tours. You’ll also be able to watch an animated piece by Emirati designer Salem  Al Mansoori and attend their series of pop-up poetry performances, entitled Spoken Art.
