2018 has been the year of the logo, and when it comes to the most iconic, Fendi’s double Fs hold their weight in significance. But for their latest Fendi Mania collection, the distinctly 90s monogram logo got a very 2018 makeover.
The fashion house collaborated with Instagram artist @Hey_Reilly to flip the logo on its head. The graphic designer made a name for himself on the social media platform doing just that, deconstructing and mixing together brand logos. His work—in particular a piece where the artist combined Fendi’s logo with that of Fila—made its way to Silvia Venturini Fendi, and the rest is history.
The 90s inspired capsule collection made its debut earlier this year on the fall runway. Ahead of its release later this month, the brand has dropped a video collage to celebrate the pieces hitting stores.
In line with the collection’s aesthetic, the film showcases the pieces under retro neon lights, with the reworked logo on full display alongside the label’s signature double F.
The collection is set to hit stores on October 16.
