5 Major Highlights from Paris Fashion Week Men’s 2020

Arab talent has gone international

With Men’s Fashion Week underway, all eyes were on Paris. Virgil Abloh took over Place Dauphine, complete with a Louis-Vuitton-branded Instagram-worthy bouncy castle that took us all back to our childhoods. Kim Jones filled the runway with pink sand and brought contemporary art to the runway with a sculpture by American artist Daniel Arsham.

But after a jam-packed week full of surprises, the S/S20 shows have come to a close—but in case you missed it we’ve rounded up all the major moments for you.

After sending the internet into a frenzy with last season’s glow in the dark bags, Virgil Abloh strikes again at Louis Vuitton, this time with 3D flower-emblazoned bags and floral harnesses.

Humberto Leon and Carol Lim presented their final collection for Kenzo. And to mark the end of their tenure, Solange not only composed the musical score for the show, but surprised us all with a performance.

Parisian label Casablanca has only been around for two seasons, but it’s already making its mark in the fashion world. The It-brand delivered with bright, tropical prints taking over the runway. But it’s this year’s cast that particularly caught our eye with Dubai’s very own DJ, Karrouhat amongst them.

Berlin-based label GMBh is no stranger to paying tribute to the region. This season, the designers are at it once again, opening the show with Warda’s song Batwaness Bik. As for the collection, it was all about clean lines and minimalism.

Kim Jones never disappoints—and this season was no exception. The mastermind at the helm of Dior Homme presented a post-apocalyptic show with a collection that redefined the Dior suit. The fashion house also debuted a collaboration with Rimowa that you’re going to want to get your hands on.
