During this otherworldly time of collective solitude, our imaginations have become both a source of comfort and escapism. In a new film created by MILLE WORLD, in collaboration with Burberry, artist Abdulla Elmaz—whose dream-like surrealistic work has become a staple within the fashion industry— explores the idea of escapism paired with digital solitude.
In this film, our protagonists find solace in their digital avatars, spending their time contemplating a life spent through screens. But what happens when the glass is shattered and the display turns into a portal? Welcome to Elmaz’s virtual Burberry universe, where solitude no longer exists, and anything is possible.
Featuring the British fashion house’s new it-bag ‘The Pocket Bag’, which is inspired by Burberry’s historic archives, the film sees the pocket bag evolve into a vital key to unlock our collective imaginations.
With a cast that is comprised of model and graphic designer Zeid Jaouni, Faten (Fay) Suleiman, and henna artist Azra Khamissa (who is accompanied by her bespoke TB-logo henna) – the film sees the group dive into the world of Burberry’s new ‘Pocket Bag’, unraveling a fantastical real-life metaphor for finding one’s inner peace.
