Try This Mouth-Watering Post-Workout Recipe

Pancake day doesn’t have to be unhealthy

After working out, our minds can make us do the craziest things. After an hour of yoga, we can find ourselves driving on autopilot to the nearest burger joint – because who fantasizes about apples and salads after putting in all that effort.

 

For the ultimate delicious-but-not-unhealthy post-workout snack, we suggest this super-simple and massively easy pancake recipe.

 

PREP TIME: 20 minutes

Ingredients (Serves 2)

 

4 egg whites

½ cup rolled oats

½ cup cottage cheese

1/8 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

 

Mix all ingredients in a bowl with a whisk.

 

On a preheated stove, cook on a medium to low heat until the solution bubbles for 60 seconds, then flip and cook for another minute.

 

Serve with seasonal fruits. bananas and blueberries (they’re super high in antioxidants and the potassium is the perfect post-workout pick me up).

Top tip: avoid a maple syrup sugar rush, we recommend agave or date syrup as a healthy alternative.
