32 Rare Arab Films Are Now Yours to Stream for Free

This summer just got a whole lot better. A selection of the region’s best films have officially been made available for everyone to watch thanks to OSN’s new streaming platform.

Ever wanted to watch Lebanese filmmaker Jimmy Keyrouz’s award-winning film ‘Nocturne in Black’? Well, now you can. And it’s not just Lebanon’s film industry that’s in the spotlight. From the UAE to Morocco, the film selection spans the entire region, with 32 films that have previously been screened at some of the world’s biggest festivals including Cannes, Berlinale, Venice and Toronto.

The move comes as part of OSN’s mission to expand on local content, giving a much-needed platform for independent filmmakers whose films are difficult to access in the Arab world.

“Independent movies are often limited to special screenings and film festivals,” explained Rolla Karam, Chief Content Officer at OSN, to The National. “We are proud to be able to bring this form of art to viewers in the region and to champion these skilled Arab filmmakers by showcasing over 30 of their short films on our platform.”
