Georges Hobeika Turned a Poem Into Haute Couture for Fall 2026

Lebanese father-son duo, Georges and Jad Hobeika, returned to the Paris Haute Couture calendar with another collection that proved elegance never goes out of style. This season, the Lebanese couture house looked beyond fashion for inspiration, turning to James McCrae’s poem Instructions Before Visiting Earth as the starting point for a wardrobe designed to remind us not to take the world’s beauty for granted.

That philosophy unfolded through a collection that felt lighter in both spirit and execution. True to the Hobeika DNA, craftsmanship remained at the forefront, but rather than relying solely on grand silhouettes, the house explored light itself.

Lace—the collection’s defining material—was layered over illusion tulle, intertwined with satin and silk while embroidery expanded into shimmering motifs crafted from iridescent beads that caught every flicker of light. Some gowns appeared almost liquid as they moved down the runway, while crystal fringe and delicate embellishments created the illusion that the garments were glowing from within.

The opening looks introduced a moodier palette of black lace, sculpted corsetry, and sheer embroidery, offering a more seductive interpretation of couture before gradually giving way to silver, champagne, ivory, and powder blue. Architectural corsets softened into fluid columns, sparkling gowns dissolved into weightless tulle, and floral embroidery bloomed across voluminous skirts, creating a journey that moved naturally from darkness into light.

Throughout, Georges and Jad demonstrated the remarkable technical precision that has become synonymous with the house. Every crystal seemed meticulously placed and every silhouette was carefully engineered to sculpt the body without sacrificing movement. Rather than overwhelming the eye, the embellishment enhanced the garments, allowing craftsmanship to take centre stage. If the collection carried a message, it was the same one found in McCrae’s poem: to remain open to wonder.
