Slowly transitioning from posing for other designer’s lines to now stitching her very own collection, part-Palestinian supermodel Gigi Hadid has recently shared exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the creative process behind her upcoming clothing brand. Last April, the 26-year-old revealed to Vogue US that she was “trying to be creative all the time” and how incredible it felt for her to be working on Guest in Residence, the name of her debut sartorial project.
Through a handful of pictures shared to her 75 million followers on Instagram, Hadid put the spotlight on some of her recent endeavors. Sifting through the Instagram carousel, we can see the young, yet experienced, model poring over fabric samples, navigate color swatches, and bounce ideas with the creatives who make up her team, including stylist and fashion editor Gabrielle Karefa-Johnson; knitwear designer CJ Kim; and fashion publicist Kevin McIntosh Jr, who are lending their talent and expertise to the model-turned-designer’s latest venture.
In the photos, the 26-year-old can also be seen wearing a lilac hoodie over a turtleneck, an orange sweater, and a grey two-piece with a cardigan, offering fans a glimpse of the line, which seems to be focused on knits, if the Instagram post is anything to go by.

Though Guest in Residence will be Hadid’s first fashion brand, the model has some experience in that area, collaborating with Tommy Hilfiger for several seasons and releasing a collection of swimwear with Frankies Bikinis recently.
Although no launch date has been communicated so far, things are moving at a steady rate for the burgeoning fashion designer. In fact, they’re getting more official by the day. As of recently, Hadid added “founder, creative director @guestinresidence” to her Instagram bio, while the label’s Instagram account and website are currently up-and-running.
Hadid’s friends and fans took to the Dutch-Palestinian model’s Instagram comments to express their unwavering support through heartwarming messages. Sister and fellow model Bella Hadid wrote: “What we’ve all been waiting for,” while Hailey Bieber expressed her anticipation, simply stating: “So excited about this.”
