Giorgio Armani Brings its Cruise 2021 Show to Dubai

Italian luxury meets the Middle East

Clear your calendar. Giorgio Armani is coming to Dubai. The Italian fashion house is bringing its Cruise 2021 collection to the gulf capital for the first time.

Whilst an exact date has yet to be announced, the show is confirmed to take place in April to coincide with the house’s reopening of its store at The Dubai Mall.

“I’m very happy to be back in Dubai after 10 years, especially on the occasion of the Expo 2020 which will place a great emphasis on the city,” Armani said in a statement. “Dubai is a luxurious and fascinating place with a soul focused on the future, always in pursuit of the imagination,” he added.

The move to host the event in Dubai only cements Armani’s presence in the city further. Giorgio Armani opened Armani hotel over a decade ago at Burj Khalifa and has maintained a solid relationship with the city since.

But this isn’t the first Dubai has already been the backdrop to a major fashion house. Chanel Cruise collection show was presented in the futuristic city in 2014, and Dior’s Haute Couture Show Dior’s Haute Couture Show was presented just last year.

With the show, the Italian fashion house is kicking off Cruise season. Gucci’s resort collection will take the runway on May 18 in a yet-to-be-disclosed location. Chanel is scheduled to head over to Capri on May 7 to present its collection. Gucci’s resort collection will take the runway on May 18 in a yet-to-be-disclosed location.  Prada will make its way to Japan on May 21.
