It’s official: Mohammed Hindash has been appointed as Guerlain’s first-ever makeup ambassador in the Middle East. The French luxury cosmetic label revealed that that the Dubai-based makeup artist and entrepreneur will be the next in its global roster of talents to embody its vision of beauty, drawing on his decade-spanning experience to help shape how the Paris-based brand is perceived across the Arab World.
Having worked with some of the most coveted names in the entertainment industry, over the years, the 36-year-old has made a name for himself by consistently delivering high-standard, editorial-worthy looks that are as technically impressive as they are aesthetically pleasing. In his new role, Hindash will be tasked with representing the centuries-old label at key events, collaborating on future campaigns, and lending his voice whenever possible to strengthen the brand’s growing footprint in the region.
“My chapter with Guerlain represents more than just beauty— it embodies timeless innovation rooted in heritage,” Hindash wrote in a recent Instagram post announcing the exciting news. “I’m beyond thrilled to take on this role as I showcase Guerlain through my lens and artistry. I have immersed myself in the rich history of the maison, and I can’t wait to narrate the story on my models faces,” he added.
“I am very proud to welcome Hindash to the Guerlain family,” Gabrielle Saint-Genis, CEO of Guerlain, commented in a shared statement. “His singular artistry, strong sense of style and deep connection to the region make him the perfect ambassador to help share the maison’s makeup creative vision to the Middle East, a region whose vibrant beauty inspires the world,” she continued.
Challenging many norms and taboos typically associated with men working in the beauty sector, we only hope that this partnership will manage to inspire others to keep celebrating every existing form of self-expression, regardless of society’s expectations or prejudice. Calling for a greater shift towards more inclusivity and diversity in the global cosmetic landscape, we are certain both parties will benefit in a bubble where it is so easy to be overlooked or confined by stereotypes.
